Supplier Quality Engineer

Description:
A Supplier Quality Engineer contract job is currently available at Belcan in New Brunswick, NJ. This is a full time, 6 month contract position. Great matching candidates will have at least five years of operations quality engineering and shop floor experience (within aerospace ideally). You will be working onsite at our client's manufacturing facility. The role is in place to mitigate issues and validate supplier actions to prevent future issues related to aircraft landing gear systems.

Supplier Quality Engineering job duties:
* Conduct Supplier Quality Investigations
* Verify defined mistake proofing and corrective actions are implemented
* Review PPAP, including PFMEA
* Conduct and train suppliers on Manufacturing Process Reviews (MPR), Pro-Cert, Gage R&R, etc.
* Lead Manufacturing Process Review

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent & relevant work experience
* Five years or more of quality engineering experience, ideally within aerospace
* Full understanding of PPAP, PFMEA, MPR, Pro-Cert, and Gage R&R
* Project management- ability to take a problem, come up with a plan to solve, and go get the help needed to resolve
* Develop necessary relationships with people on the shop floor and supplier leadership to get help as needed
* Able to utilize MS Office tools (Excel, MS Project, and Word etc.)

Desired but not required skills:
* Knowledge of ZDP methodology
