Job title: FPGA Design Engineer
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (6 months )
Location: Webster, TX
Schedule:  Monday to Friday;

Job Summary:

The candidate will work as an FPGA Design Engineer responsible for creating custom IP cores and integrating them into top-level FPGA designs to meet system-level requirements. They will also troubleshoot hardware issues and develop technical documentation. Even Simpler: The job is for an engineer who makes special parts for computer chips and makes sure they all work together. This person also fixes problems with electronic systems and writes reports about their designs.

Job Description:

Troubleshoot hardware (systems and subassemblies) to determine root cause of failures and identify corrective actions.
Perform trade studies for technical solutions, including make/buy recommendations.
Develop documentation that supports analysis, component deratings, and design reviews.
Interface, communicate, and drive decisions with cross discipline teams.
Resolve problems encountered in testing and verification processes.
Familiar with designing for a radiation tolerant environment.

Skill Requirements:

• FPGA design experience

• Experience developing IP Cores

• Familiarity with interfaces like AXI-4, AXI-S, Ethernet, PCIe

• Understanding of EMI/EMC principles

• Ability to perform hardware troubleshooting
