Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace and CREO experience)

Description:
The ideal candidate will manage teams and multiple projects in research, design, and development of mechanical applications to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and ground test / mechanical tests.

They will also be responsible for the CAD support of design projects and execution of Engineering design changes.

Familiarity with Aerospace design practices including:
• Designing for light weight design and random vibration environments
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis
• Modeling and drawing creation in Creo/Pro-Engineer.

Required Qualifications
• Experience with answering Mechanical Design verifications.
• Concept model creation in CREO Development
• Production Drawing Creation in CREO Marking prints for engineering changes
• Able to do Stress Analysis modeling and determine structural adequacy
• Able to create or modify existing Mechanical Design Verification analysis and memos

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with hardware on the Orion, ESOC and Space Station programs
